3D Interior Designer / Architectural Drafter

We are seeking a detail-oriented Interior Designer / Architectural to join our remodeling team. This position plays a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life by creating accurate floor plans, 3D renderings, and construction documents. You'll work closely with our lead remodeler, attending client consultations, taking site measurements, and transforming ideas into professional designs that guide our projects from concept to completion.

This role primarily supports residential remodeling projects, including kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, basement finishing, and other interior and exterior renovations. You'll be involved from the initial client meeting through the final design delivery, ensuring every project is accurately planned and beautifully visualized.

• Create and modify detailed architectural drawings, plans, and layouts for residential remodeling projects based on design requirements and specifications
• Accompany our lead remodeler to client consultations and job sites to record measurements and gather project requirements
• Use CAD software (specifically Chief Architect) to draft floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings
• Create realistic 3D renderings and virtual walkthroughs to help clients visualize their remodeled spaces
• Assist clients with material selections and design options during the planning process
• Collaborate closely with project managers and designers to ensure accuracy and completeness in all project plans
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including technical drawings, schedules, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, local building codes, and regulations
• Make revisions to drawings based on feedback from project managers, clients, or municipal authorities
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference and updates
• Perform site visits as needed to collect data and verify measurements
• Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders during project implementation

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Chief Architect (highly preferred), AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs
• Experience with 3D rendering software
• Understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction practices
• Familiarity with building codes, zoning laws, and local regulations (a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and external partners
• Comfortable meeting with clients on job sites and presenting design concepts

• Must have reliable transportation for travel to job sites in the Sioux Falls area
• Must have own computer capable of running required design software

• Hourly rate: Based on experience
• Hours: Part-time to start (flexible scheduling based on project needs), with strong potential to transition to full-time as our project volume grows
